Even though the DeathAdder gaming mouse is made to look appealing, the most crucial part of RAZER's mouses, that makes it one of the best gaming accessory brands in the world, is the internal mechanics of the mouse itself.
Infrared Sensor:
Most mouses run on laser light that comes out of the bottom of the mouse. The light is reflected back in and calculations are made by the computer in order to move the mouse that the user sees on the screen.
The DeathAdder mouse has a slightly different system that makes much more of a difference when it comes to movement accuracy and precision in the gaming world. Using a different technology, the DeathAdder has an infrared sensor system that tracks every slight movement and turns them into many little fragments in the calculations of the computer. This breakdown allows even the slightest of nudges to shown on the screen.
The DeathAdder has a 3500dpi (dots per inch) range in accuracy. The sensor is shown in the following picture:
8-Foot long Fiber Cable and Gold Plated USB Connecter:
The main response efficiency is due to the quality of the wire that sends the signals from the mouse to the computer. This gaming mouse has an 8-foot long multi-copper wire, that is enclosed by proper rubber insulation and another braided material cover on top of the rubber. This high quality copper wire allows signals to be sent at less than 1 ms speed in order to ensure direct response. The protection of the wire is provided by the rubber insulation and braided covering as shown in the following pictures:
The Gold plated USB connector further enhances the transmission of these signals since Gold is a better conductor than the usually used silver plated USB connectors. Gold also has the advantage over silver in that it does not tarnish. Even though there are ways to remove tarnish from silver, these chemicals will interfere with the signal transmissions. The following photo is the DeathAdder's gold plated USB connector:
